OUR HISTORY

Anchor Baptist Church began its' first service in this building 
on  Easley Street on Easter Sunday 1988.  Next door to
the left is the Millington Star Newspapper. We were
in this facility for some blessed 12 years. 


Bro Eddie Champion (left) of Winston Drive Baptist Church in Frayser
was a major supporting church.  Pastor Norris Ward (right) was a
church planter with B.I.M.I. (Baptist International Missions Inc.)
when he followed the Lord's leadership to start a church
here in Millington, TN.  The church got its' name
because of the large military base that was here
at that time; Anchor Baptist Church.


From these humble beginnings, God has lead us all the way.
We are truely a greatly blessed church.
