FROM THE HEART

Poem For Dad
Your strong hands held me
On the day that I was born.
Your outstretched arms caught me
When I took my first tiny steps.
Your goofy faces made me laugh
When all I could do was cry.
Your heartfelt prayers stayed with me
When the doctor?s thought I might die.
Your wisdom far exceeded mine
When I learned to really obey.
Of a home I have above.
And then you showed me the meaning
Of the words True Love.
From the bottom of heart.
I love you more than ever
And from your words of wisdom
I will not depart.
TELL ME HIS NAME AGAIN
( A missionary led a boy to Christ.
The boy came back a week later with a smile upon his face.
The boy said, "That Man you told me about saved me.
He lives in my heart. I forgot His name. Oh, tell me His name again!.
So the missionary wrote this little song.)
They call Him the sweet Rose of Sharon
They call Him the Lily so fair
They call Him the Blest Rock of Ages
And they call Him the Bright Morning Star
Oh, He's Prophet, He's Priest, and Redeemer
And King of all kings He shall reign
He's coming in power and glory
Oh, tell me His name again.
OH, TELL ME HIS NAME AGAIN
AND SING ME THAT SWEET REFRAIN
HE, WHO IN LOVE, CAME DOWN FROM ABOVE
TO DIE ON THE CROSS OF SHAME
OH, THAT STORY MY HEART HAS STIRRED
IT'S THE SWEETEST THAT I'VE EVER HEARD
IT BANISHES FEAR, BRINGS HOPE AND GOOD CHEER
OH, TELL ME HIS NAME AGAIN
They say He was born in a manger
There was no room in the Inn
That in His own world was a stranger
Yet He loved men in spite of their sin
Oh, they say that His path led to Calvary
That one day He died there in shame
He gave His own life as a ransom
Oh, tell me His name again
OH, TELL ME HIS NAME AGAIN
AND SING ME THAT SWEET REFRAIN
HE WHO, IN LOVE, CAME DOWN FROM ABOVE
TO DIE ON THE CROSS OF SHAME
OH, THAT STORY MY HEART HAS STIRRED
IT'S THE SWEETEST THAT I'VE EVER HEARD
IT BANISHES FEAR, BRINGS HOPE AND GOOD CHEER
OH, TELL ME HIS NAME AGAIN
